About the New/s Incubator

With support from the Ford Foundation, we are hosting a pilot incubator as part of our New/s initiative—a three-year effort to catalyze innovation among diverse journalists and share lessons from Future Architecture.

Modeled after the Guild of Future Architects' 2020 Shared Future Incubator, this New/s Incubator is designed to jumpstart innovative member-led news projects by women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ media makers. It is a cohort-based program designed to support journalism collaborations that imagine and prototype bold ideas about the future at a systems level.

Our goal is to provide a welcoming and restorative space for diverse news innovators to refine a project concept, gain perspective from multidisciplinary advisors, and clarify visions for the futures they are hoping to cultivate.
