5C Meditations

Welcome to your GoFA 5C Meditation journey, designed to activate your capacity for imagination, narrative, and embodiment.

These meditation journeys combine multidimensional storytelling with somatic practice to help teams unlock the personal transformation required in order to realize your collective mission. The 5C framework draws inspiration from multiple lineages of ancient and modern wisdom, meditation modalities, and methodologies to facilitate individual practice as well as collective creative pursuit.

Guiding questions to consider throughout the incubator:

  • How does your project live in your body?

  • What does radical imagination feel like when you experience it in your body?

  • What narrative are you aware of (if any) in your body and what words emerge to describe it?

  • What does embodiment mean to you?

HOW TO BEGIN

  • Do the Practice: Each meditation focuses on what GoFA deems the four stages of project development:

    • Discovery

    • Incubation

    • Cultivation

    • Fractal

  • Provocation: You’ll find a provocation listed under each meditation. Spend time with it. Respond to it.

  • Bibliography: Should you choose to dive deeper into the philosophy, a bibliography will be available for every meditation.

We recommend the following for optimal experience:

  • At a time when our visual field is being both restricted and overloaded by the mediation of screens, we encourage you to close your eyes while practicing each 5C meditation.

  • Use headphones or a bluetooth speaker if possible and find a comfortable place where you can sit and practice uninterrupted.

  • Some of the meditations may invite you to stand up and move. Regardless, if you feel like moving at any time, please feel free to do so! Ideally, the intention is to create somatic awakening and drop you into a deep, grounded space of inquiry, exploration and creativity.

  • You may explore practicing the 5C meditations alone or together with your collaborators. However, you may wish to play the meditations in the background while you are working. An instrumental recording will also be available for every meditation.
