As leadership began to modify GoFA practices based on, the confusion and chaos of the pandemic began to take its toll. Families were forced to discover a new balance between home and work; unemployment skyrocketed; millions lost family members to Covid. The mental health implications were heavy for people of all ages. GoFA’s community, like most organizations, was completely virtual, amplifying the isolation and stress of those two years. In June of 2022, 40 members and their families gathered in the Catskills of New York for a long-awaited in-person gathering called Harvest, where GoFA 2.0 was officially launched.
