GoFA Artifacts & Publications

GoFAr

GoFAr is the publication of the Guild of Future Architects (GoFA), a nonprofit organization that brings together the architects of tomorrow to more effectively pursue shared visions of the future. The work of the Guild is to establish its century-long role as a critical animator of enlightened cultural, social, economic and political systems. As a membership organization, the Guild provides future architects with education, connections, mentorship and access to financial resources. The primary goals of this publication are to report on the programs of the Guild, and to feature perspectives and updates from our members. In addition, participants and collaborators in related projects may be invited to contribute. Radical imagination is a core value of the Guild, so GoFAr features a wide variety of viewpoints and creative expressions including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, personal essays, manifestos, videos and more.

Co-creating speculative histories and futures is a powerful way to understand our role in the present.

A series of facilitated Futures Writers Rooms during the early months of the pandemic to "imagine the past and remember the future" inspired GoFA members to author essays and reflections compiled into a book published by GoFA Press.
